About Our Adventures
From the Wildhorse Mountain Lookout, and the Sugarloaf Mountain region to the Vulcan Peak area in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness down through the Chetco Gorge to the Quail Prairie Lookout to the headwaters of the Chetco River, we explore, we hunt and we photograph.
A lot of our area has been scarred by two major fires in two years, the Chetco Bar Fire (191,000 acres) and the Klondike Fire (180,000+ acres. The Forest Service has closed a lot of roads in and around the burn areas restricting our movement and the public's movement beyond what is necessary. The logging and lumber companies have been allowed to make these areas into wasteland. They are even cutting down healthy trees in their quest for money, all under the pretense of "Salvage Logging".
We cope with these limitations put on us and others and do our best to work around these obstacles. When we were allowed to travel in the burn scar of the Chetco Bar Fire, it was sad to see the destruction the fire brought. We'll be showing some of the burned area on this site
